I'm always walking around the whole hotel, it seems, from the BTS to the banks on Charoen Krung, to Robinson's for this or that, to the vendors up the road, then down Soi Shangri-La to the Peninsula Pier. Besides a quick look-see once, the most I've ever done at the hotel is catch a cab.
Are any of the restaurants at the Shangri-La particularly good or otherwise noteworthy? I'm always willing to give a new place a try-- unless it's at the MO. (Long story.) Or the State Dome Tower. (Short story: overpriced.)
We stayed for 5 nights at The Shangri la Krung Thep on one family trip.
We had 5 adjoining rooms/suites.
Don't bother dining here for casual or fine dining as we were all disappointed with the food and service.
Rooms and suite in the Krung Thep were good.
The main Shangri La wing felt and looked like a conference/wedding party hotel.
I prefer the MO but my partner prefers the Shangri-Krungthep. Its the Pen next time !
