It cannot have been a 2007 from the barrel, as that vintage is already bottled. It must have been a 2008.... chances of it being a 2009 are very very slim in my experience.
I got to thinking about that after I posted and began putting the timeline together in my head. The wine was young, but it also wasn't 2009 young so it probably was the 2008.
What are your thoughts on the 3 Finca wines from Achaval Ferrer? We tried all 3 but they were all still in the barrel when we did. Have you had a chance to try the Bella Vista recently given that hail seemed to destroy a couple years of production of that wine?
I was just curious on how you would rate them. Based on my experience I would rate them in the following order: Altamira, Mirador, Bella Vista.
