Logic dictates that the new lounge at the Cavalieri was created because of the increase of demand from elites.
I recently checked into a Hilton that I always got upgraded before, but was told that they have been getting sao many diamonds recently that they can only upgrade so many.
Comparing this to lower taxes, welll...it sounds like an argument an HH exec would make.
I'm a customer, yes. But, a very good one. And this customer earned his stripes, and frankly earned a right to not like what's happening. I also think Mike has earned the right to wonder why the OP is complaining, Let him earn that right as well. Just MHO.
Why worry about potential when the problem is actual performance? As a gold, I don't get half the perks promised and that aren't based on availability, like continental breakfast.

Frankly, I refuse to ask or argue for upgrades. How many times does one have to read about others being lied to about what upgrades are available? When they welcome me as a gold, I shouldn't have to ask if I was upgraded or to be upgraded.

Nor 1 is a good example of the dots that need to be connected to get a clear picture. It isn't competition, it is penny pinching and profit milking. But I guess it is easier to have some sort of sibling rivalry with other customers instead of questioning good ol Hilton. H

Mike can treat others how he wants as long as the moderators tolerate it, but others have the right to tell him he's rude or simply wrong. Hilton is giving away status left and right. If that bothers him or you, perhaps Hilton should be the target rather than the poster who has been Platinum for 10 years and getting treated questionably now.
