I have been living in Japan for 11 years and have been a PE member with NW since 1998. I am currently working on a position that will move me to Amsterdam for a 2-3 year stint. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with changing from WP to FB? As an Asia-based WP member I get some additional benefits that US based WP members don't enjoy and I would like to maintain this if possible. Especially as I will be making monthly trips to the US from AMS.
Does anyone know if it is required to move over to FB once a person is living in Europe?

It used to be mandatory to switch to FB from WP if you moved to Europe; no such rule for DL FF. The current status is still most likely this but this can be changed any time (if it has not changed yet) with the merger of DL and NW in progress...
But let me warn you - the FB program is not the program you want to use because of its ridiculous earning rates since April 1 - check their website. I would personally stay with NW until the programs are fully merged and then use SkyMiles.
