When I pointed out that I was BD*G, and the email to DC members stated that goldies could use the new lounge on when flying on any BD flight, she said that the website would be amended to exclude domestic passengers. She wasn't impressed by the fact that I was Star Alliance Gold either.. Her line is that this is "an international customs secure area" and as such domestic passengers could not enter.
Anyone know if this is indeed the case or was I very politely "given the finger???"

I got the same treatment this morning, flying to MAN. Unless I was just too bleary eyed having flown in from the USA, I couldn't spot a *G sign. They said I shouldn't have been allowed to get this far with a domestic BP. I said there was no one to stop me. They said there should have been a BAA person at the bottom of the stairs. I queried this later in the gate 8 lounge and they reinforced the line being given out upstairs.
OT: today no announcements in the gate 8 lounge (broken intercom).
