I've always felt that Thanksgiving is a time of year when fares are fairly inelastic; they really do not fluctuate in price very much. If you are looking at flying somewhere on the day before Thanksgiving and returning on the Sunday after, I'd lock in as soon as you can.

After August, they typically don't come down.
