US $550 is not a bad price for 10 days. I would try Sixt holiday cars since they include insurance. I just did a rental with Avis in Munich for 4 days and it was $278 USD and that was also picking up away from the airport. They charge extra for picking up at airports or central train stations. I did however book a full size car with navi and got an Audi A4.
