People will make some impressively poor decisions if they feel they're saving money. Like connecting with bags on FR. There's a level of savings/difficulty that is somewhat dependent on the person, but I'd bet a lot of people would book EK to save a hundred bucks without even considering what a layover in DXB would mean.
