Just got an email from The La Quinta Resort out in La Quinta (not to be confused with low end chain)...for 299+tax through september you get:

room
unlimited golf for two at any of their 4 courses
one spa treatment per day
breakfast or lunch AND dinner at any of the five restaurants throughout resort and golf courses
resort fee waived
there is more...i think kids eat free too.

granted, it's the summer, so it will be HOT (plan on 115 in August)...but it's a dry heat

i love the property...my favorite in the desert. seems like a very good value...food and spa would come to close to 300 a day alone.
