The warning for Rome is always to watch out for the pick pockets. The local police and hotel staff refer to the Gypsies as the problem. Notorious is the area around Termini Rail Station. A friend of mine lost his computer in the area from a snatch and run. They love to pick on business people with luggage and a computer case.
