Late Fee Waiver/Courtesy Credit
I've been late by accident once with AMEX and once with a Citi card. I recently found myself in the same mishap again, but this time with Chase. I am not frequently late, I've never been 30 or more days late, I rarely carry a balance. After e-mailing, speaking to a CSR, and then speaking to an account manager, all of them refused to issue a credit. I pointed out that the account was 7 years old and asked to speak with someone about closing the account. She replied, "That would be me. Would you like me to go ahead and close the account?" I declined to do so for personal convenience at the given time, but I'm pretty disappointed.
Does anyone have a similar experience? I only found one thread from searching that wasn't particularly helpful. I know that somewhere there is another level of customer service or customer relations and I'm determined to find it.
