Additionally, if you do take the flight, I've had good luck with receiving empty center seats as *G. LH, as far as I know, still offers middle seat blocking to SENs, so they can usually get me on the other side of said seat.

If you do get an empty middle, there's typically a button on the aisle side armrest of the center seat. pushing it will allow you to move the armrests in, giving you another 2 or so inches of seat width.
