If you're gonna connect in FRA, then just take LH to FLR. It's a very short flight. "C" on those flights is nothing special (think of sitting in a Y window or aisle seat with an empty middle) but you'll save a lot of time vs. heading up from FCO. FLR's a small, easy, and quick airport for arrivals.
