There are no standard bassinets in J on 777. We have done DFW-NRT and ORD-PVG in J with baby. Closest thng you get is the Coach bassinet, it can be placed on the floor. It has 2 frame legs, and the cloth bottom hangs on the bottom like a hammock.

We flew with our 5mo old in J, took the only 2 seats in row 8. A bit more isolated. The "basinet" sat on the floor, which meant one of out seats could not recline.

Really, it turned into a storage bin for us, as baby stayed in the chair with us the whole time. It was a handy storage bin for baby toys, pillows, blankie, etc , etc.

There was a flight i remember we took that the basinet was not available. Then another where the NRT AAngles arranged a middle row for us, so baby had a free seat between us.

We are doing NRT again in J in coming weeks. Now baby is 14+ mo's old. Probably break down and buy a seat and put his car seat in it. I know, waste of a J seat, but i really dont want to sit in the back...

Depending on age of your baby. I will say J seats are more than comfy for sharing with baby. Just a lttle dfficult during dining service. And a big Shush to all who say you shoud buy the baby a seat. You do whats right for you, i did lap child so far. And will buy a seat from nowon, as i suspect he wont be comfy sharing the seat anymore.
