My colleague after doing what was needed to his Customers booking took the gentlemen to the side and explained (I don't think there is an actual policy) that he would not be allowed to travel unless he cleaned himself and purchased a new pair of trousers.

but he did it very professionally.
My colleauge then escorted him airside, went to "Ted Baker" and the Customer purchased the cheapest pair of trousers....he was also given the t shirt out of one of those "emergency, you missed the last flight out, overnight kits"
He then took him to Galleries so he could have a shower (no drinks etc lol) and get cleaned up before his longhaul flight.
I'm sure he looked funny with a Ted Baker trousers and the cheap t-shirt....but more importantly he was and smelt clean.
Fantastic story and definitely the way it should be done.
Top marks! ^
