On Lijiang:
I saw 1700 CNY ++ for the Pool Villa.

That incl. breakfast, 1 dinner and one 90 min spa treatment.

I think that is a very well priced deal...

Unfortunately the flight connections from Shanghai are less positive.

For those of you travelling domestic China: try elong or ctrip for domestic airtravel. Currently they offer huge discounts.

Interestingly enough the 'direct' flight from Shanghai to Lijiang (w. 1h stopover in Kunming) is quite expensive and has minimal discount.
If you break it up and book Shanghai-Kunming-Lijiang and Lijiang-Kunming-Shanghai you come out at approx 3000 CNY incl. Tax per Person. Also you will find many flights throughout the day (vs. the 3 connections from Shanghai to Lijiang).

You will most likely also receive more minimum miles (if you have the usual 500 miles minimum per segmet) if you choose an airline of your program...

If you speak Mandarin you might also get a better deal if you book all 4 segments with one airline and walk into a respective booking office somewhere within China.

Tempted to book a weekend break...
