If you have 3 full days for Madrid, you can go over most of the major sights (provided you don't hang around their great museums for too long). The city is very easy to get around by public transportation. Best is to buy the so called "Metrobus" pass, which gives you 10 rides for a little over 7 EUR. For airport metro terminals (at T1 and T4), there is a surcharge of 1 EUR required.

Toledo is very doable as a day trip from this hotel. I did it with ease. Take the Metro to Atocha Renfe Station. Hop on an AVE train, 30 minutes later you are in Toledo. Toledo is a great destination, despite that the Cathedral and Alcazar are under rennov.
