Steak in the sky....

Ditto on airplane steaks. Of the three choices on most flights (steak, chicken, pasta), the steak is usually the worst for wear. It's usually not a very good cut and the cooking / re-heating process takes it incredibly far away from a good steak experience. The chicken and pasta dishes seem to stand up better (IMHO) to the whole process.

The chicken to Hawaii last month was incredible (for a airplane chicken). As usual, I tried to guess who would order the steaks (I was in 1K) in the seats in the vicinity and I was just about spot on as to who would order the steaks - the same people I would have predicted as going to McDonald's and Outback as soon as they could once in the Islands. Not very adventurous, sticking with what they know no matter how bad it is, rather than try something that has a sauce ingredient or side they don't recognize.
