To reach the hotel from T1, you would take the Heathrow Express from T1 to T5. There is no charge for this short ride (in either direction).

It's been about 6 months since the last post and I just wanted to see if Sofitel is still the only option. I'll be doing an 8 hour layover at LHR next week. I'm in BA international F class so will have access to all BA lounges in case they have added a gym.
