As I look at my million-mile balance, sitting at 775k (so there's some work to do), I contemplate doing semi-monthly trips to LHR from my new perch in New York and curse United for backing out of the route and JFK-NRT and JFK-everything else while I am at it.

I hate to say it in this crowd, but going the wrong way for 90 min, risking a missed connection and it looks like paying more most of the time isn't worth it.
