Keep in mind that having someone be "authorized" on your rental does not extend your personal insurance to those people. It is usually in your best interest to purchase coverage if you are adding someone who is not on your policy.

What usually happens is:

-Your insurance company is going to tell you that they never authorized an additional driver.

-The insurance company of the person you added is going to say that they are not paying because their insured is not responsible for the vehicle -- you are.
So, my spouse and I are AAA members, and we will be renting next month in Denver.

Do we need to have the AAA code on the reservation in order not to get charged for her as an additional operator? The reason I ask is that the MR offer is slightly better. I'm finding the wording slightly ambiguous.
