Indeed, saying that transferring at CDG is as bad as in the USA is not very positive.
If AF wishes to get/retain transfer traffic, they must improve that aspect or lose pax from central Asia. Transit of Central Asians thru Europe used to be a natural and large clientele for European airlines. Now several airlines have started nonstop US-India (also US-Middle East) and there are just too many incidents at CDG. Unless AF dedicates some area (in international zone) and more responsive/trained staff for such pax with delayed/missed connections, that will be lost business for them.
