is she originally departing from Frankfurt? Most of the Germans I've known can speak at the very least a smattering of English.
Also as other posters have indicated, I am not sure what the connection is with her inability to speak English and your desire not to be there too early. (i.e. if she spoke English, you would want to be the earlier or later?)
