That explains why a cabin crew member thought nothing of it if I were to sit in the front row of WTP high-J 747 which is an emergency exit row. Those exit rows had jump seats occupied by the crew.

I didn't pick those seats online because I thought I would get shifted for someone who isn't deaf as it does have a disclaimer about being fit and understanding English. Dang, one lives and learn!
