fwiw, i use the mobile version of flight stats on my cell and it works just fine. i booked marked the "by flight number page" so all i do is plug in the carrier and flight number. this is a manual process so if you are looking for flight updates such as delays, upgrades clearing and etc, then you might want to look at setting up a text message feature with your airline (or if a member of their mileage program, and depending on the airline, you can set it up based on your profile [ua does it automatically for every flight that has your ff# in the reservation once you set up your "notification settings"])
