Just pointing out the fact that calling this property a resort was not done without some consultation and approval of the local regional Starwood authorities and Le Meridien; also, that there may be some criteria that a lot of folks outside this influence are not taking into consideration.

All to say that it is fine to discuss among yourselves the merit of this property being called a resort according to your own criteria, but - at the end of the day - if they meet the criteria that Starwood and Le Meridien have established for being called a resort, then I can't see that changing unless the standards change.

Whether they want to give more details online or keep it as it is ultimately up to them. And, while Thyetus is certainly free to pass along any comments you may have to the proper authorities at Starwood AP and the brand, I would not expect him to be responding here on their behalf. Nor would I expect them to do so on their own.
