I haven't had any connection issues with my MacBook Pro (15" unibody) in the T5 Galleries South or the new T3 Galleries lounge. I'm by no means an expert, but It could be that some routers are using a wireless protocol which is not either fully supported by Macs, or are just prone to being unstable with Macs. (Whatever that means in reality! )

Reception has always been good, and download/upload speeds are super fast. ^
