Fees of around $500-$600 came in only recently. I know I paid the surcharges on an award claimed in October 2008 (but not yet flown). I can't remember for sure whether I paid them on an award claimed in March 2008, but I don't think so. I'm fairly sure I did not pay the surcharges on an award redeemed in February 2008.
$48.00 sounds right for my last trip to BKK.

If I am reading this thread correctly SQ is not imposing the fuel surcharge on award tickets but Delta is adding the fee and keeping the money???

And Star Alliance rewards do not have the fuel surcharge??
