Next month I will be out of cell/internet coverage in Alaska for 10 days. It will just be my luck that they call then. I'd likely opt to drop my Gold card anyways even if I could be reached. I downgraded myself from Platium a couple of years ago because I couldn't justify the fee.

How long do they give you to use up your MR points when you close your account? Can you use all the normal reward methods.... travel/transfer/shopping?
