Not quite in the same league but in Egypt, the choice was usually chicken or "meat". "Meat" was never defined (even when the servers were asked) but could have been goat, sheep, beef, donkey, or your god knows what. I guess it could even have been pork if you were dealing with the Coptic Christians.
