this is the best -- and most useful -- thread I've read on FT in quite some time. I recently visited the McCafe outside of Versailles and was able to secure 1) a clean table; 2) an unusual dipping sause for my McDo; and 3) free access to the unisex restrooms. They had originally quoted me 4 euros for these benefits, but after producing my plat card, they conferred all three benefits for free. See, there IS still value to the plat card!^
