Not a great deal with the current double miles promotion. When you check you request miles or Amex, under the new promo which lasts till Nov you will get 1000 miles OR 500MR points, not both. In addition if you pay by Visa you get a 1000 point bonus.
So presumably you would put US on your folio if you want their miles.
Conversion to MR to US still 1:1 as far as 1 remember.
