honestly most food ive had has always been pretty straight forward and yummy...and yes i did get it all on one tray...and all the stuff is wrapped on its own, the cutlery, cheese, chocolate, theres covers on the entree and the salad, water, dessert...and the booze comes in single serve bottles...i like all the wierd brands of stuff you come across and how different legs have random stuff...
http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...51418_8158.jpg thats econo meal on af from yyz to cdg...it was awesome, id never try fruit compote...but i tried it just cause i got one and it was really good...ive tried allot of stuff on flights that i would never eat on the ground...i would never eat yogurt in a million years, but once i got this weird nestle mango yogurt from india and it was awesome...sadly i cant find any nestle yogurt in canada...if it werent for that flight id never learn to like yogurt..i now buy yogurt and actually enjoy it more than i used to...
non north american carriers are better with the booze and food and dont charge. i would always grab 2 beers when i went to the galley on an af flight...one for me and one for my seatmate, he did the same for me and we never got hassled... we each made 2 rounds so thats 8 redbull sized cans of beer total + i had a beer at the first bar service + mini 2 bottles of wine with the awsome dinner...
i like how food is unique to an airline...even if they all have the same caterers, the quality can vary allot...i like how the dishes are often unique to airlines and sometimes the routes, they could very well serve fast food from a chain but they dont...i like how theres often a choice of a dish thats from the region you are flying to, even if the airline is from the other side of the world. if the price is the same between 2 airlines on the same route i will choose the one with better food!
i guess ive had allot of good inflight dining experience because i dont fly around north america allot...its sad that airlines like air canada and american airlines dont bother serving free/good meals anymore. they arent even budget carriers and they still dont bother... even flights on viet serve awsome free meals...
