They tried to deny me access to the CX Lounge this morning in LHR T3. I am an EXP flying internationally on AA. I checked in with the lounge earlier, then went out shopping the the terminal. When I got back, there was someone else at the desk. I showed her my boarding pass and my EXP card, and said, I'm already checked into the lounge.
She said, "We are already accommodating two other airlines, so we can't allow access. But there is an American Lounge in this terminal." I repeated that I was already checked into the lounge, and that my hand luggage was already stored there. She said, "Did my colleague check you in?" I told her that she had. So, she allowed me access. There was only one other person in the lounge when I went in.
That's weird. I've never found them to be anything but nice
and I've never seen more than two other people in that lounge (I presume there must be a few people around the time when there are CX flights).
