I just finished staying here on a coupon stay 2 nights.
I got inside the hotel at 10:30. By the way, if you don't know London, the hotel is a little hard to find because there is construction right next to the hotel right now and outside, you just see a Casino Park Tower. You have to go to the main entrance to actually see Sheraton Park Tower - Luxury Collection.
Out front, I didn't see 6/7 digit cars. I just saw Benzs and BMWs - nothing too fancy.
I waited 20 minutes to check in and they told me that my room wasn't ready yet. I left them my stuff and came back a few hours later. They upgraded me to an executive room - no suite. (I'm plat)
The room itself is nice - the view is ok. The bed is the best part of the hotel. The pillows. Hmmm. Two pillows were a little too hard and two pillows didn't have enough cotton inside. But not too big of a deal. The bed was amazing though.
Internet at the hotel is a ripoff. 18 pounds for a day is ridiculous. I feel like the service at the hotel is slow. The bathroom was great. Bathtub, a lot of luxury collection soaps, wash cloth etc. Shower was nice.
The location of the hotel (knightsbridge) is actually pretty good. I don't know what people were talking about when they said 10 minute walk to the tube station. I timed it and it took 4 minutes walking at a relatively slow pace because I was so enthralled to be in London. I think even if I walked slowly backwards I could still get to the tube station in under 10 minutes. Even if I got on the ground and crawled, I probably could still beat 10 minutes. Point is - the location is great. It's not as close to Piccadilly Circus as the Le Meridien Piccadilly, but its a 5 minute tube ride to Piccaddilly Circus and 7 minutes to Lancaister Square/Soho.
Room service food isn't bad but it is REALLY expensive if you're American. 20 pounds (30 bucks) for a club sandwich is ridiculous in my opinion. 10 dollar mini bar credit gets you two small bottles of water =P
The air conditioning in the room can be a little annoying, but the temperature was fine. The curtains were very thick and perfect for those really wanting to get over jetlag.
I'm very happy to have stayed at the hotel would stay again with the chance to head back to London.
