IMO good in theory, poor in practice; combining lots of question in one thread will invariably lead to lots of ignored questions and perfectly valid questions getting lost in the discussion that will take place in the thread. See 'The Master Status Match' thread for example, it's become a bloated monster of a thread full of unanswered questions and is basically useless. Many of these questions would be perfectly suitable as posts of their own but they end up in that thread, and get ignored / missed. *

Other than that, I don't actually have an issue with the newbie posts. They keep the flow of new threads moving, and often develop into interesting threads of their own (albeit usually after going off on tangents).
