Not the news I was hoping for. I knew I would have to check-in at AMS , but hoped the bags might not need to be collected and rechecked. I'll pack light and look into lockers or baggage storage at AMS as I'm hoping to take the kids on a tour during our 10 hour layover.

I almost always have to connect at JFK and IST for this trip using Delta (sometimes CDG instead of JFK) but thought I'd try a single connection, rarely an option, and wanted to try Delta's 757 AVOD with the kids coming as well.
