I suppose its stupid to ask why you're bringing "2 oversized suitcases"?! I've just returned from 10 days in Singapore, Indonesia and Japan with only a small carry-on bag.
This is the UK. We have shops. You can buy stuff. In fact, you can buy stuff very cheaply in Primark or a Tesco / Asda supermarket and then throw it away (we're talking £1 for a t-shirt, £4 for jeans etc). There is really no good reason to travel (if you're male) with more than 3 shirts and 2 pairs of trousers, plus some underwear and socks (socks you should buy cheaply and throw away as you wear them). You don't need a change of shoes if you pick a comfortably, smart, waterproof pair. A light golf-style rainjacket will fold up to nothing and cover you against rain. You don't need a sweater of any sort in Europe in June.
A friend of mine recently put up 3 Canadian relatives who turned up with NINE suitcases between them for a 2-week trip - and they were staying in an apartment which actually had a washing machine. Such people should not be given passports.
