I had the same issue with this hotel when I tried to book rooms in January.
They base award availability on a 'resort view' room type. So if you are seeing ocean view or partial ocen view, then they deem these as non standard rooms and hence do not include them in the award inventory.

This is particularly unsporting as you are in fact in Myrtle BEACH and a view of the sea should not be considered unusual. The ocean can be seen from 3 sides of the hotel and the actually room itself is no different. In my view, it is this sort of manipulation of the rules that underminds comsumer confidence in the programme.
