It was, but that was in the Canary Islands, not USA.

Nope, all D10s in USA grounded and banned from USA airspace.

CO was using the same procedure as AA. UA was using the same total-removal technique, but doing so with an overhead crane instead of a forklift. Both also found damaged D10 pylons due to such mtx.
