Reno doesnt have many business travelers. Sparks does but it has zilch hotels. Many times I thought I was the only business person in Reno (while doing business with a nice company in Sparks) staying in the Hilton, Peppermill, Harrah's etc. I agree the Reno Hilton is a dump They have some other dumps too.
Actually I preferred the Peppermill. The $1.99 8 oz rib-eye steak-n-eggs was far better than any USA free HH continental breakfast and far more fattening to boot. They actually would bring free breakfast shrimp after they got to know me as a regular. I had no problem leaving a 150% tip for the nice girl. Burp!
