Five star properties in delhi dont come cheap - even if you dont count the near 25% tax. You're looking at like $300++ a night for five star hotels downtown, possibly cheaper if you look for one in a quieter area of delhi.

I'd say poke around tripadvisor.com for delhi hotels and see what you like there.
