Better in what ways? If it's better location in reference to where you are going in So Cal, than it can go either way. All comes down to the airport with the shortest travel time. Notice how i said travel time, just because where you are going is closer to LAX does not mean you have a shorter travel time, it could just be that although it is closer to LAX, you can get there faster from SNA.

If its better in terms of facilities and overall airport experience, SNA is the way to go. Although VX's portion of T3 is nice, getting to/from LAX is another story.
