I don't know much about it, but the gentleman sitting next to me on my flight up to Anchorage, Alaska was going for a week of heli-skiing at the Alyeska Ski Resort which is a short 40-minute drive from Anchorage. The hotel itself is very nice looking and has a variety of room options with a number of on-site restaurants.
