The fujifilm f20 or f30 series cameras are great and have larger sensors they are the "classics" recently the fujifilm f200exr has become a good choice also the kodak v1073 believe it or not.

The sigma DP2 is coming out soon (it has been announced) but I would not recommend the Canon g10 or g9 - too ambitious a resolution relative to the sensor size.
