I respectfully disagree with the quoted poster (emphasis on the word
respectfully); your request is not pathetic. It is, however, very much a long shot. It's probably the sort of thing that can only be patched up through a sales contact at corporate. ...It's not the type of thing any 800 number AA rep can help you much with; but as others suggested perhaps they will offer a buy back next year.
