Other than the occasional road-trip coffee or swirl-cones for the kids, we never hit McD's in the US. Overseas they sometimes come in very handy however. The menu in Oz is better in terms of options (IMHO). It seems so wrong walking in there but sometime efficiency/practicality is a good thing...

Re. the Opera House tour item from earlier, that was the only border-line artsy thing we did in over 3 weeks in the country, and we liked it, perhaps because it was the only arts/museum type stop we made, something different. Some of the interior details and history was interesting also (to us), and we figured it might be the only time we'd have a chance to see it. Others MMV.
