On mine (bought on close-out) it seems like there was no problem honoring the warranty. I needed a new luggage tag and they sent one after just calling them. In principle that's not even a real warranty claim. They didn't want to see proof of purchase.

From my review and my experience with my Plat5 22 incher I can only recommend this line of luggage. Probably the best price/value out there. The only thing that comes close is BR but it is even heavier, the outsider handle is a design mistake and the price is at least $100 higher.

For business use by a male traveler (I say that because of the weight and the suiter) it is ideal.

On my Tumi luggage bought at their outlet store the sales assistant said the warranty applies fully and the tracking number, too. Mine didn't have the tracking number crossed out.
