I just received a schedule change from DL informing me that my flight from MSP now departs 1 hour earlier than previously. I am a 2-1/2 to 3 hour drive from MSP airport. Even the 8am departure was pushing it. Now a 7am departure is out of the question. I would like to cancel the ticket altogether rather than accept a later departure time. Any chance?
Tell then you have a sleep disorder and that getting up the additional 60 minutes earlier will likely impact your health, and could result in you falling asleep and wrapping yourself around a tree during the drive to the airport.
Then tell them that you have advised your lawyer as to how you want your widow protected in that event.
Remember that you are dealing with a bunch of buttheads (corporate leadership... not the folks on the front lines), and you didn't request the schedule change... they imposed it on you.
