Also put in the letter to NW with both UA and CO documentation (the CO documentation revealing 50K+ base miles for 2003 already, the UA just confirming the status comp). In the letter, I tried to gently point out that I flew NW a lot already (but credited to CO), but if I flew UA I'd have to leave that alliance entirely. And that UA has an advantage by comping status because I'd lose 37,500+ total miles on a qualifying year if I had to start from scratch on NW vs. starting with status on UA.
Might not work, but thought I'd give 'em one last chance.</font>
Don't count on it, they are really stingy with their comps...
